Neshaminy Youth Wrestling

Note for this week! (week of 1/23) Be sure to fill out the registration below to let us know if your wrestler is attending the meet 1/28 @ Upper Moreland, vs Upper Moreland and Marple Newtown. The match is at Upper Moreland - 3990 Orangemans Road, Hatboro, PA.  It starts at 9:00AM - please be there by 8:15AM.  And be sure to check in with Jacki Natelli the moment you arrive so that your matches are not scratched! Coach Ruslan is in the room, running practice every Thursday 7-8:30.  For those of you who don't remember Ruslan, he's one of the greatest clinicians in the area, with incredible experience including: Former Assistant Coach - American University Kyrgyzstan National Team Coach - 9 years 1989-1995 7x Kyrgyzstan National Champion 1999 Asian Championships - Silver Medal 1998 World Championships - 4th place 1998 Central Asian Games - Silver Medal 1992 USSR Seniors - 5th place 1991 USSR Cup Champion  1989 USSR Junior National Champion Last, but not least - Monday night 7-8:30 we have one of the most accomplished wrestlers ever to attend Neshaminy High School - Mike Pirozzola.  Mike was a four time PIAA State Finalist and two time Champion.  He will return to his roots to show our kids how he got there. Neshaminy Youth Wrestling Club is scheduled to attend some more great tournaments - including: The 2012 Bensalem Novice Tournament:  On Sunday January 29, Bensalem will hold their 25th annual Novice tournament. This tournament is open to all first and second year kids only. This a good experience for the wrestlers in the first practice who haven't done any tournaments to get their feet wet, so to speak.  It will be held at Armstrong Middle School on Street Road. They have a wrestling clinic from 8:15AM to  9:15AM with the tournament starting there after. Cost for members of Neshaminy Wrestling Club is $10. If your interested, fill out the registration form (HERE) and return it along with the fee to me, Domenic Frascella, by 1/23. FIRST PLACE!       This past weekend, Neshaminy Youth Wrestling Club's Elementary Dual Team defeated Springford, Boyertown, West Chester and Blue Mountain to capture first place at the Boyertown Duals!

The team gave up four (4) forfeits every match - that means Neshaminy gave away 24 points to every team it wrestled...AND STILL WON!  The team match results by team were: Boyertown 24 Neshaminy 64 Spring Ford 33 Neshaminy 59 Shikellamy 45 Neshaminy 41 West Chester 30 Neshaminy 42 Blue Mountain 39 Neshaniny 41 Justin Levin, Robert Lawlor, Chris Kim and Michael Megahan all went 5-0...awesome!  Here's a breakdown by wrestler: Justin Levin 5-0   5 pins = Meet MVP Sean Marion 2-3  2 pins Nicholas Marchessano 4-1 Robert Lawlor 5-0  3 pins Chris Kim 5-0 1 pin  3 TF Matt Colijizzi 4-1 Sam Hayes 3-2 Logan Green 4-1 Gus Natelli 3-2 Michael Megahan 5-0 Gunnar Fuss 2-3 We also had kids entered in the JV Open Tournament at Boyertown.  Sebastian Corrales took first at 80lbs and Shawn Marchesano took 2nd at 85lbs.
