PTA runs Tuesday and will run every Tuesday and
Thursday until next season. Youth wrestlers are welcome, but should probably ensure they have a partner. Pat
will run his normal Wednesday practice 6:30 – 8:00.
Congratulations
Boys! Great job!
Congratulations to Logan Green, Chris Kim,
Robert Lawlor and Justin Levine who all competed valiantly at PJW States this past weekend.
All four wrestlers fought hard throughout the weekend, and in the end Chris Kim managed to pull out a 4th place finish, losing
a heartbreak 3-2 in the consolation finals to Colton Camacho of Franklin Regional. Logan Green, Robert
Lawlor and Justin Levine battled throughout the weekend, however, lost in consolations.
The Neshaminy Youth Wrestling Club would like to congratulate Logan Green, Chris
Kim, Robert Lawlor and Justin Levine, and the whole
team, on a great weekend and wonderful season.
Go Skins!
Neshaminy advancing to PJW States!
Congrats to Logan Green, Chris Kim, Robert
Lawlor and Justin Levine - who have advanced to represent Neshaminy in the PJW States this coming weekend.
Christopher Kim placed first, and is currently the number #1 seed in the
PJW States 60lb/9 & 10 year old bracket. He currently will have a bye in his first round.
Logan Green qualified for the state tournament this past weekend by placing second in the 70lb/9 & 10 year old
bracked. He will have a first round match against Jake Fine from Belle Vernon.
Robert Lawlor also placed second in the 9 & 10 year old group, taking the silver at 55lbs. He is
currently scheduled to face Kai Burkett from Chestnut Ridge in the first round of wrestling.
Not to be outdone, Justin Levine also placed 2nd like his teamates
Robert and Logan. He took the silver at 45lbs in the 8 and under divison, despite getting banged up earlier in the day
and having a bruise the size of a melon on his head...now that's Neshaminy tough!
Justin's first round foe looks to be Davis Stepp, from Beth Center.
Congrats to all of you boys
- Go Skins!
Neshaminy Places 6th at the ICWL! With Only 18 Wrestlers!!!
This year's ICWL tournament featured 700 wrestlers from 44 clubs. West Chester
sent 53 wrestlers to the tournment this year - Boyertwon and Conestoga both sent over 40
wrestlers. In fact, 15 clubs in total sent more than 20 wrestlers!
How many wrestlers did Nehsaminy send?
Just 18...and one of them got sick and had to leave before wrestling a single match!
So, out
of 44 teams, how did Neshaminy do in the tournament? We took SIXTH (6th) PLACE! Just one point away from 5th!
Congrats to all of Neshaminy's wrestlers who wrestled hard to make this all happen:

WOW! Neshaminy
wrestlers have been making some noise!
Congrats to all of Neshaminy's wrestlers who have been making noise all over the
place - including the following tournaments:
The ICWL Bruiser Duals
Neshaminy was well represented
at the Bruiser Duals. Despite only being a second year wrestler, Shawn Marion made his All-Star team debut
at 52 lbs.Shawn showed he belonged by wrestling tough and even winning one of his matches. Not bad for someone who is still classified as a “novice.”Neshaminy continued to dominate
the lower weights with Robert Lawlor (57), Chris Kim (62), and Sam Hayes (72) all going undefeated. The
league made the error of awarding the 77 lb. spot to someone other than Gus Natelli. They made up for the
error by loaning Gus to another Zone.Gus proved that he was the right guy for the 77 lb spot by beating
the Zone 4 (our area) guy when they met in the dual.In the middle school division, Neshaminy was represented
by Trevor Elfvin (95), Adam White (132), and Noah Kisselback (200).It was a funday
of wrestling and hanging out with great kids from throughout the league - great job boys!
The 2012
PJW Qualifier
An amazing 1,153 kids wrestled in the PJW qualifiers
this year. That is the most kids in any PA Area, ever! Not only were they numerous,
they were talented.Every kid who competed, whether they moved on or not, should be proud. We have several who did place and we wish them luck during the next round:
1st: SamHayes
1st: ChristopherKim
1st: NoahKisselback
1st: Robert Lawlor
1st: Justin Levin
2nd: AidanBradley
2nd: LoganGreen
2nd: ShawnMarchesano
2nd: ShawnMarion
3rd: Matthew Kidwell
Simply phenomenal boys! Good luck this weekend!
Other wrestlers that did well in the PJWs include Nicholas Marchesano who
took 4th at 55lbs in the 9&10 year old bracket. Liam Moss opted to forgo the novice division to challenge
himself in the open; not only did he get a win, he pinned one of his opponents (65 lbs, 9&10 yo). Gus Natelli made
it into the top six in the 80 lbs 11&12 year old bracket. Trevor Elfvin took 4th in a very competitive
11&12 year old 95 lbs bracket and Neshaminy High School wrestler, Justin Kramer, took 2nd at 13&14 year old 92 lbs group.
Great Job!
Way to go Neshaminy novice wrestlers who placed at the 2012 ICWL Novice Tournament!
Neshaminy Youth Wrestling Club attended the 2012 ICWL Novie Tournament
this past Sunday (2/26). Though we only sent a handful of wrestlers, a WHOLE BUNCH of them placed - including:
3rd: Ian Swayze
3rd:
Jacob Langan
3rd: Joshua Langan
4th: Justin Langan
The Langans OWNED that place! In fact, despite having
very few wrestlers there, Neshaminy placed 12th out of 39 teams!
Go Skins! Keep it up!
